DOWNLOAD FOR FOREFLIGHT & GARMIN PILOT

Version 9 · Last updated 2026-04-27

The KMZ file below contains every airport in our database that sells unleaded avgas, as color-coded placemarks you can import into ForeFlight, Garmin Pilot, Google Earth, or any other tool that reads KMZ files. Tap any placemark in your EFB to see the fuel type, FBO, and a link to the airport's AirNav page.

Placemark icons

Each airport is marked with a colored text label indicating the fuel it sells:

  • UL94 — Swift 94 MON unleaded avgas
  • G100UL — G100UL unleaded avgas
  • 91+ — UL91 and other 91-or-higher-octane unleaded avgas
  • <91 — Unleaded fuel rated below 91 AKI octane
Importing on iPad (Safari)

Tap Download FlyUnleaded.kmz above. Safari saves it to the Downloads folder. Tap the Downloads icon in Safari's address bar, then tap the file name to open the Share sheet.

ForeFlight

  1. From the Share sheet, tap Open in ForeFlight.
  2. ForeFlight imports the file as a Content Pack.
  3. Enable it under More → Content → Content Packs. Toggle it on to overlay the unleaded-fuel airports on your map.
  4. Tap a placemark on the map to see the airport's fuel type, FBO, and AirNav link.

Tip: ForeFlight won't overwrite an existing Content Pack with the same name — when the file is updated, delete the old pack first, then re-import.

Garmin Pilot

  1. From the Share sheet, tap Copy to Garmin Pilot.
  2. Garmin Pilot imports the placemarks as a user map overlay (or user waypoints, depending on your Garmin Pilot version).
  3. Enable the overlay under Home → Map Overlays (or browse under Home → User Waypoints).
Other platforms

On desktop computers and Android devices, the KMZ opens directly in Google Earth, SkyDemon, AvPlan, and most other GPS/moving-map tools.

Tips & troubleshooting
  • If Safari opens the file as XML text instead of downloading, long-press the download link above and choose Download Linked File.
  • Data is updated periodically — check the version and date stamp at the top of this page, and re-download whenever it's newer than what you last imported.
  • Custom icons are embedded in the KMZ, so placemarks render correctly without an internet connection once imported.
